Overview
Animal Farm is a novel by British author George Orwell. Through the usage of satire and allegory, it explores the lives of farm animals on an English farm after a revolution against the human beings. The novel touches on several events of the Russian Revolution, such as the Russian Civil War, the ideological conflicts between Joseph Stalin and Leon Trotsky and criticizes the corruption of Socialism in the Soviet Union.
